Vegan Guide to Colorado

There was no problem finding vegan food in Colorado. Every town we visited had plant-based options, even the small ones! Colorado has a very hipster vibe so we weren’t surprised at how easy it was to find vegan options. We compiled a list of all of our favorite vegan food from our trip so keep reading to see our picks!

Denver, Colorado

  • Meta Burger - An American style restaurant with the best vegan burgers & milkshakes we have ever had! They are ranked #7 in the world for vegan food according to Happy Cow.

  • City O’City - Make sure you try the vegan chicken & waffles!

  • Bang Up to the Elephant - The mango-habanero seitan wings are delicious!

  • Crema Coffee House - Great coffee with non-dairy milk options as well as some vegan snacks.

  • Make Believe Bakery - Owned by the same people as City O’City, they have amazing vegan baked goods!

  • Watercourse Foods - We didn’t get to try this place but we heard they also have great plant-based options in Denver.

  • Cafe 13 - The best vegan breakfast burrito we have ever had!

  • Higher Grounds Cafe - We popped in here for some coffee with non-dairy milk.

 

Colorado Springs, Colorado

  • Bambino’s Urban Pizzeria - They have an option to make a pizza with vegan cheese, how awesome!

  • Jose Muldoon’s - Their vegan enchiladas were amazing and it was sooo much food!

  • Switchback Coffee Roasters - Switchback had delicious coffee & vegan breakfast options! We went for the toast with vegan butter.

  • Del Taco - Yes, it’s a fast food chain but they have tacos made with beyond meat! Just ask for no cheese.

There were actually a ton more vegan options in all of these places than we had time to visit! We definitely need to go back and try some more restaurants. Even though it was very easy to be a vegan in Colorado, we hope this guide will make it a bit easier for you if you’re going to visit!
