Grand Cayman Vegan Guide

We never know what to expect vegan-wise when we visit a small island, but Grand Cayman really surprised us with the plant based options! We found a bunch of vegan spots, and found vegan options at a ton of other restaurants as well.

Camana Bay

The Edgy Vedge

  • Jessie’s Juice Bar Cafe - a great spot for breakfast! They have açaí bowls, delicious coffee & smoothies, and some vegan sandwich options as well.

  • The Edgy Vedge - An all vegan restaurant in Camana Bay. They have delicious burgers and pizza, and they were also open for brunch on Sundays. On the menu was a vegan jerk chicken pizza, as well as a “fake” Big Mac!

  • Pani Indian Kitchen - Indian food is always a good idea as a vegan haha. We went for lunch and they have a lunch buffet with tons of vegan options. I think you could order off the menu for lunch as well if you wanted to.

Georgetown

Bread & Chocolate Vegan Bistro

  • Bread & Chocolate Vegan Bistro - one of our favorite vegan restaurants in Grand Cayman! This is the first vegan restaurant on the island and they have lots of local dishes veganized. Definitely make sure you stop to eat here and try their ‘conk’ fritters, the vegan version of the island’s famous conch fritters!

  • Waffle Monkey - a local waffle chain that makes vegan waffles! I think any waffle can be substituted for the vegan mix.

  • Bluestone Lane - a chain coffee shop/cafe but they have vegan options if you need something.

Paradise Pizza

  • Vivo Cafe & Restaurant - I think this was our #1 restaurant on the island! They are all vegetarian with a bunch of vegan options. The vegan calamari made out of coconut was *chef’s kiss*

  • Tillie’s (Palm Heights) - A cute, vibe-y beach side restaurant in the Palm Heights hotel. They have a few vegan options for entrees and appetizers and some of the best cocktails on the island.

  • Paradise Pizza (Palm Heights) - another great restaurant in the Palm Heights hotel. This one has a vegan marinara pizza and some vegan pastas on the menu.

  • The Hive - This is such a cool spot! The Hive has a food truck vibe with a bunch of different establishments you can choose from. One place in The Hive called Powerplant is fully vegan, but there are also non-vegan options at the other food places so everyone can enjoy!

  • Casa 43 Mexican Kitchen - They had some vegan options on the menu, but we also just asked for vegetables instead of meat/cheese in some of the tacos or burritos and it wasn’t an issue! A great place to go if you are traveling with non-vegans.

  • Piccolino’s Cafe - a cute cafe with delicious coffee. I don’t believe any of the food was vegan, but they had plant milk for coffee.
